When we decided to move from Portland to Camas it

When we decided to move from Portland to Camas it was with every intention to find a house we did not have to remodel. After looking at quite a few homes, we quickly found out that wasn’t going to happen.
I still remember the day (14 years ago) when Mackenzie and I pulled up to this house. I almost kept driving as all I saw was a lot of work in my future. But, Mackenzie was with me and she wanted to see the pool. How can you not buy a house with 2 young kids when all they want is a POOL!
This house was our biggest project, 4 levels and 5500 sq feet. It seemed like we were always remodeling something. The projects were endless, but the parties and all the entertaining we did will never be forgotten.
When the kids went to college we realized that it was just too big and we didn’t need all the space AND my pool boy (Colin) didn’t want the job anymore.
I always wanted to have some land so we decided to look for a little bit of property. 🤦‍♀️ here we go again!

Our next remodel happened to be another foreclosur

Our next remodel happened to be another foreclosure that Colin found on his way home from work. It didn’t come as a surprise when I walked in, I wanted it immediately! With its beautiful hardwood floors, original built in’s, intact pocket doors and leaded glass windows, this 1910 Old Portland style house was going to be a dream to fix up. This post would be too long to mention everything we did, but here’s a quick run down- 2 kitchens, 3 bathrooms, basement, front porch, landscaping, pavers, lots of paint and all the boring stuff.....electrical, plumbing etc.....And it came with an empty lot next door so we designed town homes and started the development process (decided it was going to take longer than we anticipated and sold before they were completed) after all this work we were really hoping we would find a home we could just move right into. Who were we kidding?

Oh, how we loved this little house!!! I drove by our first home the other day to see how she was looking and I gotta say she’s still a beauty❤️ we bought her as a foreclosure and did ALOT of work to make her pretty, but it was worth it. We didn’t know our next project would be right down the street......
